Garden Centre Sales Associate / Horticultural Advisor

The Garden Centre is looking for a passionate horticultural advisor to join its dynamic in-store team. If you enjoy helping customers, sharing your knowledge, and working in a vibrant seasonal environment, this position is for you.

Main Responsibilities

  • Advise customers on plants, care, planting techniques, and horticultural products
  • Welcome customers and provide personalized, professional service
  • Maintain the presentation, care, and display of plants in-store
  • Assist with receiving shipments and merchandising
  • Keep the workspace clean, organized, and visually appealing

Requirements and Working Conditions

  • Education: High school diploma, vocational diploma (DEP), college diploma (DEC) in horticulture, or equivalent experience
  • Experience: 1 to 2 years of relevant experience
  • Languages Spoken: French (English is an asset)

Desired Skills

  • Training or experience in horticulture (strong asset)
  • Good knowledge of plants, soils, and horticultural products
  • Strong customer service and sales skills
  • Self-motivated, energetic, and team-oriented

Working Conditions

  • Status: Permanent, full-time
  • Schedule: Variable schedule including weekends
  • Salary: Between $18/hour and $24/hour, depending on experience
  • Employment Duration: 9 to 10 months
  • Start Date: Beginning of March
