The Garden Centre is looking for a passionate horticultural advisor to join its dynamic in-store team. If you enjoy helping customers, sharing your knowledge, and working in a vibrant seasonal environment, this position is for you.
Main Responsibilities
- Advise customers on plants, care, planting techniques, and horticultural products
- Welcome customers and provide personalized, professional service
- Maintain the presentation, care, and display of plants in-store
- Assist with receiving shipments and merchandising
- Keep the workspace clean, organized, and visually appealing
Requirements and Working Conditions
- Education: High school diploma, vocational diploma (DEP), college diploma (DEC) in horticulture, or equivalent experience
- Experience: 1 to 2 years of relevant experience
- Languages Spoken: French (English is an asset)
Desired Skills
- Training or experience in horticulture (strong asset)
- Good knowledge of plants, soils, and horticultural products
- Strong customer service and sales skills
- Self-motivated, energetic, and team-oriented
Working Conditions
- Status: Permanent, full-time
- Schedule: Variable schedule including weekends
- Salary: Between $18/hour and $24/hour, depending on experience
- Employment Duration: 9 to 10 months
- Start Date: Beginning of March
