Assistant Manager – Perennials Department

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide outstanding customer service
  • Support the supervision and coaching of the department team
  • Monitor work quality and ensure deadlines are met
  • Receive plant shipments and ensure optimal merchandising
  • Perform product facing and maintain a clean, attractive sales area
  • Help foster a work environment built on trust, communication, and collaboration
  • Welcome and advise customers courteously in their purchasing decisions
  • Perform any other related duties associated with department operations

Profile Sought

  • Knowledge of horticulture (a strong asset)
  • Strong interest in retail sales and customer service
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to adapt
  • Dynamic, versatile team player
  • Strong initiative and leadership skills
  • Ability to work efficiently with attention to detail
  • Genuine passion for perennials

Language Requirements

  • French, spoken and written
  • English (an asset)

Working Conditions

Status: Seasonal, full-time

Schedule: Day, evening, and weekend shifts

Salary: Starting at $20/hour, based on experience

Start date: Mid-April
