These are actually sciaridae or soil flies. Look closer and you&#8217;ll probably see small insects measuring 1 to 2 millimeters: thrips. These small insects bite plants to feed on the contents of their cells.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-cc02983 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"cc02983\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><em><strong>What to do: <\/strong><\/em><\/p><ul><li aria-level=\"1\">Increase ambient humidity by spraying foliage or growing plants on a gravel bed. This substance is called honeydew and is secreted by aphids.
