We love their sweet and slightly acidic side that goes well with both savory and sweet dishes. Plus, since these berries are full of vitamins and antioxidants, they can be enjoyed from morning to night! To ensure a bountiful raspberry crop, you&#8217;ll need to prune your raspberry bushes before the fall frosts; Thanksgiving weekend is ideal for this task.<\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s how to prune your raspberry bushes:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Arm yourself with a good sharp pruning shears and gloves, raspberries are soft in the mouth, but hard on the hands with their thorns!<img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-9416 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/centredejardinbrossard.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/taille-du-framboisier-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" srcset=\"https:\/\/centredejardinbrossard.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/taille-du-framboisier-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/centredejardinbrossard.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/taille-du-framboisier-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/centredejardinbrossard.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/taille-du-framboisier-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/centredejardinbrossard.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/taille-du-framboisier.jpg 1200w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Cut off all branches that have borne fruit at ground level, they will no longer produce. Keep them as short as possible.<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Then cut off the small, stunted shoots at the bottom of the plants and clean the soil to remove debris.<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Next, thin it out: keep only 4 stems per square foot. Keep the strongest and the most beautiful, remove the others&#8230; yes, even if they are in perfect health.<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Then prune the branches to chest height (about 1.2 m). Make sure they do not lack water, especially for the first few years after planting.
